Department of SURGERY was incepted at SBHGMC Dhule way back in 1989. Since then it is running under the supervision of well qualified and prominent surgeons of the city and state. With the modernization of the hospital, the addition of laboratory facilities and round the clock imaging services the department has grown leaps and bounds.
Today, it’s recognized as a modern and dependable government set up for emergency and routine surgical work, it is now known as a tertiary referral center for not only patients from Dhule but from neighboring districts such as Jalgaon Nandurbar and Nashik.
Due to its location near four National Highways the trauma weight load to the hospital is immense and the variety of the same is spread across a very broad spectrum, all of which is very efficiently managed here at dept of surgery SBHGMC Dhule. The department gets referrals for complicated cases from rural and town areas which would include all super specialties including neurosurgery, oncosurgical procedure, urosurgery and surgical gastroenterology in additional to all general surgery care.
