CORE VALUES
The department of surgery at SBHGMC
Dhule embraces the following core values –
• Integrity
• Social
responsibility
• Team work
• Creativity
• Excellence
OVERVIEW
Department of SURGERY was incepted
at SBHGMC Dhule way back in 1989. Since then it is running
under the supervision of well qualified and prominent
surgeons of the city and state. With the modernization of
the hospital, the addition of laboratory facilities and
round the clock imaging services the department has grown
leaps and bounds.
Today, it’s recognized as a modern
and dependable government set up for emergency and routine
surgical work, it is now known as a tertiary referral center
for not only patients from Dhule but from neighboring
districts such as Jalgaon Nandurbar and Nashik.
Due to its location near four
National Highways the trauma weight load to the hospital is
immense and the variety of the same is spread across a very
broad spectrum, all of which is very efficiently managed
here at dept of surgery SBHGMC Dhule. The department gets
referrals for complicated cases from rural and town areas
which would include all super specialties including
neurosurgery, oncosurgical procedure, urosurgery and
surgical gastroenterology in additional to all general
surgery care.
Department also has been
functioning with a well developed laparoscopy , gastroscopy
, colonoscopy and cystoscopy facilities which are being used
on a daily basis to give the most advanced quality care to
our patients. We are also presently functioning as a cancer
grid facility providing UpToDate statistical information for
further research and development purposes. The department is
at the forefront of implementation of national schemes such
as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi
yojna for increasing the social outreach and following the
national moto of healthcare for all. We have been approved
with six postgraduation MS General surgery seats by MUHS
university starting in the year 2020.

proud to announce our five year strategic plan. The plan
began in June of 2020 and was chaired by collaborative
